6 Seasons Is Enough For 'Girls'


HBO has confirmed that Lena Dunham's Girls' sixth season, to premiere sometime next year, will be the series' final one. Dunham's show will launch its fifth season on February 21st. Dunham said, "The freedom and support that HBO has given Jenni Konner, Judd Apatow and me is something rare and beautiful. The commitment and originality of our actors has been stunning, and our crew is truly my family." Dunham noted that turning 30 this year signifies the perfect reason to end the series, which explores the lives of twentysomething, female New Yorkers.

The series is about a group of young women in their 20s made creator and actress Lena Dunham a star, and was also a feather in the cap of veteran comic producer Judd Apatow. News exclusively that an end date for Girls has indeed been decided upon, with Lena Dunham and her ladies set to sign off from HBO after a sixth season.     ABC is closing the case of "How to Get Away with Murder." CNN reports that ABC has announced the cancellation on Thursday.
