Deadly storms have been blasting the Pacific coast for the past 24 hours. Parts of Southern California have been hit with record rainfall. More than 8 inches fell in one day, which is a month’s worth. Relentless torrents turned roads into rivers. More than half a dozen freeways and highways closed. At least two people have been left dead while the severe weather pushes across the coast. Late Sunday, another wave of storms is expected to role in.

The warning came as the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office announced that the death toll in Tuesday's mudslides had risen to 20.
