Netflix Revives ‘Designated Survivor’ For a Third Season


According to SF Gate, Netflix has picked up the cancelled ABC drama “Designated Survivor” and has revived it for a third season. The drama, which stars Kiefer Sutherland, will return for a 10-episode third season. Designated Survivor stars Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who is suddenly becomes President of the United States following a catastrophic attack on the US Capitol. The third season Sutherland's character will face the political reality of campaigning while determining what qualities make a good and worthy leader. Season three of Designated Survivor will premiere on Netflix in late 2019.
