Hollywood Discovers Super Bowl Weekend Is A Rotten Time To Open A Movie

Description

This Super Bowl weekend is turning out to be even slower for the box office than usual. According to SFGate, analysts believe not one single film this weekend will gross more than $10 million. Universal’s “Glass” is on pace to top the charts for the third weekend in a row, with an estimated $9.3 million frame. A box office draw like that would give the M. Night Shyamalan film a domestic total of $88.3 million--which is 10 percent behind the pace of the director’s last film, “Split.”
