Diamonds are forever... in synthetic start-up's Paris lab

In a matter of weeks, Alix Gicquel can "grow" diamonds identical to those extracted from a mine, and they're cheaper and more ethical: the story of a start-up in the north of Paris that's about to intensify production having taken advantage of the breakthroughs made by laboratory stones on the jewelry market.

This week, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association has asked the USDA to regulate lab-grown meat startups to be regulated as traditional meat producers. Lab grown meats, otherwise known as "cultured meat" are not available for purchase, but they will be soon.
