    Judges at the International Criminal Court decided on Tuesday that the opening of the trial of Congolese warlord Bosco Ntaganda will take place at its headquarters in The Hague, not near the site of his alleged atrocities as earlier planned. He faces 18 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity for his alleged role in the conflict, but denies the charges. Lower court judges wanted parts of his trial to be held in the city of Bunia, the center of a years-long conflict between mineral-rich Ituri province's ethnic Lendu and Hema inhabitants, so victims could more easily follow the proceedings.

    An Ohio man was sentenced to 30 years in prison by a federal judge on Monday for plotting to attack the U.S. Capitol with guns and bombs and sympathizing with the Islamic State militant group. Christopher Cornell, 22, of Green Township, Ohio, near Cincinnati was arrested in January 2015 and accused of planning to travel to Washington to attack the U.S. Capitol during President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Jan. 20, 2015. He pleaded guilty to multiple charges in August.
