'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' Wins Weekend Box Office

20th Century Fox Fox's "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" has won the weekend box office. The young-adult dystopian sci-fi franchise opened this weekend in theaters, and grabbed an estimated 23.5 million dollars, according to boxofficepro.com. Despite the lowest opening of the three movies in the franchise, all three opened at Number one domestically. The movie's total knocked off Sony's "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," which had been atop the domestic box office for weeks.
